Beneath the brilliance of a hundred twinkling lights, draped by the woods that shelter Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California, Julie and Brandon declared I do on July 9th, 2016. This official seal of love and commitment was a long time coming—five years, two months & eight days—to be exact. And, although their longtime dream became reality at last, it was hard not to believe we weren’t dreaming anyway with all of the magic in the air that day. It began, as expected, in the most incredible location: a Woodland Hills mansion, formerly owned by none other than Frank Sinatra. The Prince Weddings team caught up with Julie and Brandon here, and were thrilled to capture the preparations of the day in such an impeccable home. Following the final spritz of perfume, the last laces to be fastened, and the wonderful gifts exchanged, it was time to make it over to Calamigos Ranch. We find ourselves inspired every time we come to this stunning estate, as it is rich with adornments and so welcoming in their hospitality. Julie and Brandon secured The Pavilion At North Point within the Ranch, which comes equipped with a beautiful reception and ceremony site, a vast field, and a stunning ferris wheel—iconic to the grandeur of the Ranch. Our Photography and Cinematography teams were eager to capture all the special moments of the day, with Alex and Thamer leading the Photography side, Nathan and Edwin the Cinematography side, Sharelle at the helm for the SDE (Same Day Edit), and Elizabeth assisting them all. And through everyone’s determination and preparedness - between us, the coordinators, vendors, venue, and of course the newlyweds themselves - the day was a magical success. The first kiss as husband and wife was given, the dances were had, and the SDE was presented as the cherry on top of a brilliant day. Julie and Brandon even went as far as acquiring the rights to have their favorite song in the film, “Our Song” by the very talented Ron Pope. Wedding days like Julie and Brandon’s remind us why we love to do what we do at Prince Weddings—there’s simply nothing like the magic we help create with the many wonderful couples we have the pleasure of working with.
